Fast Ford

WELCOME TO THE OCTOBER ISSUE!

- Enjoy the mag! - Jamie King - Editor

Wow! The summer of 2018 has proved to be a real scorcher. And that's been fantastic news for the huge number of action-packed shows and events the fast Ford scene enjoys throughout the summer months. A car show always feel better in the sunshine.

And the Blue Oval gods were clearly smiling down on us as we headed to the biggest event on the calendar, Ford Fair, this year. Luckily, Ford Fair always seems to escape poor weather, but this year was real a belter. It was like having a show abroad, but with all the familiarity of home - no wonder it's many people's (mine included) favourite show of the year.

But as the sunburn from Silverstone wears off, there's still plenty more events on the calendar to come! The next big one for us will be Ford Fest at Santa Pod on September 30th - let's just hope the summer sunshine holds out for a few weeks longer.

Then, following Ford Fest, we will be heading back to Silverstone for TRAX on October 7th. This is a new one for us, and we will be heading up a new 'Ford paddock' at the show. Other magazines specialising in other (lesser!) marques will also have similar displays, so we will need to be on top of our game to show the world that the Blue Oval is still king. And you can help us do that. For an additional £3 on top of the ticket price, you can display your fast Ford alongside the feature cars from this very magazine. Keep your eyes peeled on the website and social media for further announcements, but let's make it a show to remember, and let the rest of the car world know who really is the best! Not that they'd need any more convincing than simply picking up a copy of this very issue. Inside this month we've got a bit of everything the Ford scene has to offer; stunning show cars, Championship-winning race cars, awesome track builds, hugely-powerful road monsters, and even an intriguing RS Turbo without the turbo! Plus, all the show reports, club meets, tech guides and buying advice you've come to expect!
