All the action from the biggest Blue Oval event of the year!

Ford Fair is, in the inimitable words of Ron Burgundy, kind of a big deal. Sponsored by mountune, it’s Europe’s largest Ford show, taking place at the Silverstone race circuit because frankly that’s one of the few places in the UK big enough to contain it! Now in its 33rd year, Ford Fair is the must-attend event for Blue Oval enthusiasts because it offers huge variety, from old-school classics to the latest models, and with over 4,000 cars on display there’s something to suit every taste. Concours, modified, custom, track, race – you name it, it’s there. And Ford themselves fully support the show; indeed, they were there this year with the fresh Bullitt Mustang, the latest GT, and even a tall tower to jump off into a massive inflatable pillow – because, well, why not? Andy Barratt, Chairman and Managing Director of Ford UK, was also there fielding questions from enthusiasts all day.

The summer of 2018 has turned into an absolute scorcher, and this didn’t let up for a second throughout the show, with ice cream sales through the roof and suncream being liberally applied at every turn. And this isn’t just a show where punters and clubs turn up to display their rides… there’s the option to take your car out on track, a Sprint Test where you can compete against the clock, a show-and-shine for the cleanest builds, a massive trader village for buying those all-important parts and accessories, and much more besides. This year also saw a display celebrating 50 years of Rallye Sport models (which was right next door to our own Fast Ford stand!) as well as a celebration of 30 years of the Sapphire RS Cosworth, 50 years of the Escort, 25 years of the Mondeo, and 20 years of the Focus too! If you were there, hopefully you popped over to say hello; if not, we’ll see you next year. In the meantime, and to convince you, here are the best bits from 2018...
