Gary is what is known as a returnee – he’s had a ton of classic Fords in the past; including Mk1/ Mk2 Escorts and an XR3i too. Right now, it’s time to get back into fast Fords and what better way than buying a brand-new Focus RS? But of course, any Ford is simply a blank canvass and you can’t keep it stock, can you? Consequently, the list of mods he’s made so far are pretty impressive.
There’s more planned along with maybe a total colour change – “thing is there’s so many Nitrous Blue cars out there because they look great and it’s such a popular colour, but that does mean it’s difficult to make it stand out – hence the graphics and the wrap on the roof by Essex Wraps,” explains Gary.
He continues: “I’m thinking of wrapping the whole car, maybe in red, but the trouble is I don’t want to make it look like an Edition model. We’ll see what happens...”
There’s been a few engine mods too, and Gary’s gone “as far as you’d want to go with the stock 2.3”. Seems like the next step is to go for a fully forged engine…
