Fast Ford - - What's New -

The Green Hell has been holding motorsport fans in its thrall for generations – the impossibly complex circuit legendarily takes countless laps to master, with its dozens upon dozens of corners, crests and cambers. But for some enthusiasts, it’s not about setting the fastest time… it’s about driving the Nordschleife in the most stylish fashion possible.

We’re talking about drift legend Vaughn Gittin Jr, who’s recently drifted the entire 12.9-mile circuit – that’s right, every last yard of it – in his 900bhp Mustang RTR. “It’s about a good time, not a lap time,” he said, and you really can’t argue with that. He was still hitting 150mph at some points though, and redlining sixth gear entering some of the longer curves! Absolute hero. (It’s worth noting, however, that Vaughn had special permission to do this – drifting is forbidden at the ’Ring, and if you try this yourself you’ll get sent home very quickly…)
