This car takes the 2.5-litre five-cylinder turbo motor from the Focus, all 217bhp of it, and mates it with the factory-option Sport pack to create the closest thing possible to a Mk4 Mondeo ST (which is a thing that never existed, badge-wise). Handling is sure-footed as it has a wide track, thanks to the underpinnings sharing a bit of S-Max DNA, and the Sport suspension means it’s fun in the corners, the steering rack’s a bit quicker, and there was the option of active dampers. All wrapped up in a totally unassuming and stealthy shell. Pretty attractive idea, right?
