The only European Ford ever to wear a GTi badge, this Escort was launched in 1997. It had the 115bhp 1800 Zetec from the XR3i, the bodykit from the recently discontinued RS2000, halfleather seats and ABS. Not a world-beater, but certainly entertaining and with a great spec.
