Criticised for its bug- eyed styling and rather prone to rust, the second-gen Scorpio’s reputation was saved by the Cosworth variant – its 2.9-litre 24v BOB V6 produced 207bhp, turning it into a high-speed luxury cruiser. If you can find one that hasn’t been pillaged for its motor, it’s well worth a go.
