Most Mk2 Mondeos are sold privately, and the ST24 is certainly no different. You’ll need to take all the usual precautions when buying from the bottom end of the market.

For a bit more cash – and with more comebacks in case you buy a rot-box – it’s worth searching dealers on Autotrader, although only specialist traders tend to give ST24s pitch space nowadays.

Before any search we’d advise joining the Mondeo ST Owners’ Club and asking members if they’ve seen any suitable ST24s for sale. They might also be familiar with cars already on the market – potentially avoiding an expensive pitfall.
