What's new in the Ford world?

-

The Isle of Man’s Mountain Course is perhaps best known to motorcycle fans, with 30-million enthusiasts tuning-in to watch the legendary TT every year. But Ford are keen to prove that you can have just as much fun on four wheels, by taking the Bullitt Mustang out over the Irish Sea to flex its muscles. Now, the Isle of Man couldn’t be further removed from the San Francisco car chase of the iconic movie, but with an absence of speed limits the island certainly makes for an entertaining playground for this agile new muscle car. Journalist Steve Sutcliffe was at the helm for an official video showcasing the Bullitt’s abilities: “Imagine German autobahns, then add hills and twists, and shrink it to a single carriageway with incredible views, and what you have are these utterly fantastic, and dramatic, roads,” he said. “The Mountain Road feels – and is – an utterly dramatic place to drive. It’s epic, quite unlike anywhere else”.

The ninth film in the series that has included everything from a Ford GT on the stunning Atlantic Ocean Road in Norway, to a Fiesta ST on the virtually empty Via Campocatino in Italy, the new Bullitt vid is frankly breathtaking – you can find it by searching YouTube for ‘Isle of Man Bullitt’.
