How and when was the club started?
“The club started in June 2017. I was a coowner of the Ford Galaxy Owners Club, and I wanted to start something for all Fords which had an inclusive family feel.”
Who are the key admins/members/staff who run the club?
“I’m the club owner; the admins are Victoria Hope and Ann Louise, and the moderators are Paul Kelly and Rebekah Michelson. Our media staff are Bob Wilson, Liam Miller, and Steven Lee Waterworth.”
How many members do you have?
“We currently have 12,400 members – we’re very big in many other countries as well as the UK!”
Is there a cost to join?
“No, it’s free to join the club – although we do offer a membership scheme at £7.50 per year. Members who sign up for this get cheaper club merch, free tickets to a number of events, access to all of our club deals and discounts, and a membership card.”
What sort of deals and discounts do members get?
“We’ve worked out deals with all sorts of companies across the UK, from Ford main dealers, to local companies like Supreme Engraving and Select Tints. The details can all be found on our Facebook page.” Can you tell us about your online and/or social media presence?
“We’re in the process of building our website at the moment. Our members’ hub is www.facebook.com/groups/FordClubGB/, which is a very busy group; we also have a separate selling group on Facebook for parts and so on, and the main club page (www. facebook.com/FordClubGB/) is very highly ranked on search engines. We’re easy to find! We also have an Instagram page – @ fordclubgb – and a YouTube channel, just search for Ford Club GB.”
What makes it such a great club?
“We’re a nice bunch and like to think we do things a little differently to other clubs. Everyone is treated with respect, and every member who joins knows that they’ve joined a family Ford community. Happiness in the club is the most important thing!”
What’s next for the club this year?
“Enjoy the summer show season and the many shows and events that we’ll be attending. That’s what it’s all about really.”
