How long have you owned the car? “I’ve owned the car for three years.”

What have you done to the car since owning it? “In the first year I started with JR wheels and BC coilovers, and then went for all the Stage 2 engine tuning parts. In the second year I added air ride, and then last year I went for more power with a S280 turbo and all the supporting upgrades to give around 330bhp.”

What do you use the car for?

“It used to double as a daily and a show car, but now I tend to use my dad’s Fiesta work van (lowered on coilovers and fitted with EsCos rims) for daily duties.”

What is the best thing about owning one?

“I love it when people smile as I go past them, or when you can sit on the bumper of a few impressive cars.”

What is the worst thing about owning one? “On the way home from Ford Fair this year unfortunately the piston decided to detonate, but onwards and upwards – I’ve now got a winter project on my hands and will chase more power and am going to fully forge the engine.”

If you didn’t own this, what other ST would you have?

“To be honest, the Fiesta is the only ST I’d own. I prefer the classic Fords and my dream car is a Sierra Cosworth or Mk2 Escort.”
