SIMON KESTERTON FOCUS ST
Simon’s been a Ford fan all his life; he passed his test in a Mk2 Escort, has owned several classic Fords since, but grown-up responsibilities such as a house and three children meant the cars had to go. A return to classic Ford ownership saw Simon buy a Cortina but he’s always fancied a Mk2 Focus ST.
In June 2019 this one came up for sale, and Simon had to have it – the Cortina even went to make way. Since then, both Simon and the ST have been frequent visitors at Matt Lewis Motorsport – initially for a health check and servicing, but it wasn’t long before the upgrades started flowing too. Now, the ST runs on lowered springs with Bilstein B6 dampers and 19in RS rims. Under the bonnet the five-pot has been treated to a block mod, RamAir filter, Airtec de-cat, Scorpion exhaust, Airtec inlet, and Revo Stage 2 software. On the inside you’ll find the Recaro shell seats from a Focus RS, while subtle exterior tweaks ensure this pre-facelift ST still looks fresh.
