Helping women find their true feminine power

Founder, Personal Leadership Academy

Ruth Posterino started her journey into the world of leadership at the age of five.

Personal Leadership Academy has been growing within her as a result of overcoming her own difficult life circumstances. At this tender age, in the midst of contemplating life and death, she had a vision of standing on top of a mountain with her arms open wide, and people coming from everywhere to hear what she had to say. This was her first glimpse of what her life was to mean.

At the time, her life seemed dangerous, difficult and confusing, and she didn’t even think she would reach adulthood. Part of her childhood trauma legacy came from the more obvious physical, mental and emotional traumas inherent in a dangerous childhood environment. The biggest impact, though, was far less apparent.

These early, disturbing experiences set her on a path to discovering the secrets of how the world worked, why people said what they said and why things happened the way they did.

L‘ earning how to listen to that little something inside you, is so important. - Ruth Posterino

At the age of 16, with quite poor interpersonal skills and raw to social exposure, Ruth realised, for the first time, the magic that happened between people during a conversation. It was like a secret language she could not comprehend. Understanding rapport, therefore, became a major learning focus.

When Ruth decided to go to University at 21 she was the first person in her family to do so. She was hoping to accelerate the learning that could give her more of the answers she was searching for. Unfortunately, with the ghosts from the past haunting her for much of her life, mustering the strength to keep challenging the status quo wasn’t an easy task.

She realised during her 20s that she hadn’t really expressed the feminine side of herself either – the feeling of ‘flow’ in wearing a summer dress… the sun on her skin… sandy feet at the beach. As you can imagine, all those wonderful things she longed to experience were so out of reach. Developing the courage to embody her true ‘feminessence’ was yet another quest to fulfill.

With her natural curiosity and drive to persist, Ruth always had an inclination to research and delve deeper. Always looking, forever curious and interested in harnessing the learnings from the past, she endeavored to rewire her dysfunctional conditioning, so that she could move from ‘dis-ease to ease’.

So, in 2011, she made the momentous decision to invest in a $10,000 training program. She risked her marriage and friendships and upended her world to follow her intuition that could change her life.

And it did.

‘I think that’s where I really gave myself permission to express the woman in me, my feminine essence, my natural flow. For a very long time I had resisted being my true feminine self. It had been too vulnerable a position to accept and display in everyday life, so I’d not allowed myself the experience.’

Through embracing the strength, courage and truth behind her own feminessence, Ruth helps others also find their true feminine power.

‘Being that, using that, and expressing that fundamental truth just naturally taps into the soul space. There’s an immediate trust and permission to open up and to explore the senses. It’s like your unconscious mind is saying,

“OK, YES! It’s time to be me”.

This is your true feminine. The voice of your true self.’

Intuitively, Ruth knows that navigating all aspects of personal leadership is really the key that opens the best version of ourselves.

‘Personal leadership is about having what you need internally to get back up after you’ve been knocked down and standing up tall when it’s important to face the music. Just getting on with it when there’s no puff left, when it feels like there is no hope, or when there’s an impossible obstacle to move beyond. That tiny flicker of something in you that just drives you through the mud until you are able to see the light.

‘Learning how to listen to that little something inside you, is so important.

‘Everybody has the innate guidance system within them – sometimes tickling your interest, sometimes pushing and shoving at you, sometimes screaming crisis and demanding attention. Regardless, when answering “yes” to any opportunity that appears, and taking that first scary step, you are choosing YOUR journey, the road less travelled, and that makes all the difference’, Ruth says.

Bringing forth the wisdom of her life’s learning, Ruth has designed a training mechanism for recognising your amazing attributes and talents, the features and benefits of your unique value in the world. Overcoming personal challenges and leading self into life fulfilment, has become her preoccupation.
