Let’s write a Love letter to someone in your life.

Let me start by saying what a love letter is NOT!

-

A love letter is not a heart emoji on a post as you sit on the toilet scrolling through social media.

A love letter is not the note you leave on the fridge thanking the person for leaving the empty milk bottle.

A love letter is not the tweet you reshare for someone.

A love letter is not a DM you send 10 friends using copy and paste.

So, what is a love letter and where, oh where, have they gone?

In our fast-paced, crazy digital world, the love letter died a slow death, but no one went to its funeral. I would love to stand corrected, so if anyone would like to post me a love letter, I’d love to print it in the next issue!

Just to make you gals swoon for a moment, I have my own love letter writer (aka Russ) who, for many years and across many countries, has left me love letters all over the house before he travels. And when I say everywhere, I mean EVVVERYYYYYWHEEEERE. Knickers drawer, bathtub, inside the cereal container, freezer and even in the washing machine. Yep, this guy goes big… and I kinda love it. I have collected them all and treasure them.

So, back to you… how nice would it be to write a short love note and pop it over the counter to your friendly butcher the next time you pick up your short ribs. Or slide it over with your money when at the hairdresser. Or pop it inside your kid’s lunchbox and even inside your loved one’s phone case.

We could get quite creative with placement, and I do want to hear where you place these, OK, so I’d love it if you shared it with me.

The tip I can give you when writing these is this—just write it. Don’t overthink it. If there is a typo, or a word missing, it really doesn’t matter. Let your heart write it, NOT your head. Our head speaks far too much for us don’t you think? Well, at least mine does.

So, let ’s get writing. Here are some people you could give one to: An elderly neighbour, your boo, a child, a service provider, the parking meter person, before they fine you ideally ;-) , a staff member, a colleague, a parent, a girlfriend, me(!), someone you just met, someone you’ve known since you were a child, a teacher…. OK, I think you get the drift.

Now sit back, relax and place your hand over your heart chakra and start writing. Think about all the people who show you love and have supported you and write their name and message. Cut it out and pop in your bag so you can give it to them soon. Enjoy this activity and let me know in the Feminessence® Movement group how you go, OK?

Oh and one last thing… I love you.
