You seemed at home playing for Portsmouth. Why was it so good?

I went to work with Harry Redknapp as I knew he loved flair players, and felt my style of play would suit Portsmouth. I had a point to prove, and the initial thing for me was to show I was good enough for the Premier League. I’m sure when I went there, in Harry’s mind it was me and Yakubu fighting to play upfront with Teddy Sheringham. But I got on well with Yakubu on and off the pitch, so Harry didn’t have a choice but to play us both.
