Last season was a disappointment. A great start and fantastic away form were cancelled out by some awful displays at Goodison Park. If we’d even managed to be average at home, we’d be looking forward to European football. The big talking point among the fans is Rafa Benitez’s arrival. Carlo Ancelotti’s exit was out of the blue, but nobody saw this coming.

This season will be different to last because things have to go right at some point, don’t they?! Farhad Moshiri has spent a huge amount of money trying to turn us into top- four contenders, but little has gone right so far. Our most underrated player is

Abdoulaye Doucoure: never stops running, does the dirty work and gets forward, too. The one change I’d make would

be putting more faith in Marcel Brands’ ability to pick the manager. He’s our director of football and needs a greater say on the crucial decisions. Let him do his job! Other clubs’ fans don’t know that you’ve only got three seasons left to visit Goodison. Get there before we move to Bramley- Moore Dock. Our key player will be Dominic Calvert- Lewin. He proved last term he’s got what it takes to be a top Premier League striker – and goals seem in short supply elsewhere. The fans’ opinion of the gaffer is that some will stay away while he’s in charge; others will support the team and not him; plenty will give him a chance. A few even wanted him to get the job. Everyone agrees he needs a very fast start, though.

We’ll finish 9th.
