VIEW FROM THE STANDS
Last season was nearly perfect. A Premier League and League Cup double, a Champions League final. The FA Cup semis. The final defeat hurt, but it was still a massive step forward for City in the competition. The big talking point among the
fans is who will come in for Sergio Aguero? Surely we can’t get away with playing without a recognised striker once again. This season will be different to last because we won’t be using a false nine system, which changes things immediately.
I won’t be happy unless City play good football. I’m a simple man. We’ll challenge for trophies – our squad is too strong not to – and I’m very grateful for anything we win. Our most underrated player is
John Stones. Ruben Dias correctly stole all the headlines last season, but the ‘ Barnsley Beckenbauer’ was wonderful alongside him. The opposition player I secretly
admire is Jadon Sancho. United have made a decent signing there. Our key player will be Kevin De Bruyne, as he’s the best midfielder in the world and the best player in the Premier League. Other clubs’ fans don’t know that lots of us actually were here when we were s** t. The fans’ opinion of the gaffer is that he’s the greatest in the world. I can’t speak for everyone, but the ones I know think so, even if the Champions League is frequently his weak point. Still, who’s perfect? The man brings guaranteed titles and brilliance. I love him.
We’ll finish 1st. Well, I have to say that, don’t I?
