SWANSEA CITY

- GUTO LLEWELYN @ Gutollewelyn

Last season was not always entertaining, but a definite success in tough circumstances.

The big talking point among the fans is manager Steve Cooper’s future. At one point he was linked with every vacant post in football.

This season will be different to last because there are fewer clear promotion favourites, meaning it should be quite open.

I’ve really missed seeing the Liberty from the train on my way to the ground. And pre- match pints. Our most underrated player is

Matt Grimes. Excellent last season but rarely discussed in the same breath as our other top performers. Look out for Liam Cullen, an exciting striker who works his socks off.

The opposition player I secretly admire is Kieffer Moore. Without him, Cardiff would have been in trouble last season.

The pantomime villain will be Neil Warnock... as per, every season.

The one change I’d make would be being able to sustain ourselves without having to sell top players all the time – but that’s a pipe dream. Save the date for Cardiff at home in October. It’s always fierce, especially with the return of a crowd.

The ground I’m most looking forward to visiting is Craven Cottage, though it’s midweek again.

The best Swansea social media account is @ elisjames – a proper fan and football geek who happens to also be a very funny comedian.

Our key player will be Connor Roberts [ below], when he recovers from his Euro 2020 injury. Key in both defence and attack last season – and he’s the most energetic player in the history of football. The fans’ opinion of the gaffer is mixed. Results have been fantastic, but a lot of supporters would trade a few wins for more entertainment. If he left, he should be replaced by

Angel Rangel, who’s just retired. One of the smartest players we’ve ever had, loves the club and has all it takes to make it as a manager. We’ll finish mid- table probably, after losing some big players.
