CAMBRIDGE UNITED

- OLLIE SLACK @ ollieslack_

The big talking point among the

fans is our departing duo, Kyle Knoyle and Paul Mullin. Both were instrumental in winning promotion last season, but sadly both moved on without signing new deals.

I’ve really missed spending the afternoon with my dad and fellow supporters, watching the game we all love and soaking up everything that comes with live local football.

Our most underrated player is Paul Digby [ below, left]. Not only is he a fantastic destructive midfielder, but his leadership is crucial – you heard him so clearly without fans.

Look out for Lewis Simper. A couple of our best young players could get more chances, and the midfielder, 20, is at the top of the list. The player I’d happily drive to

another club is Hiram Boateng: I’d happily drive him to MK Dons to rip up his contract and get him to sign for the U’s. The midfielder was class on loan with us last season.

The opposition player I secretly admire is Scott Twine, who’s signed for MK Dons. He looked like a real talent while on loan at Newport last season and he’s only just turned 22. The one change I’d make would be extending the Newmarket Road End the whole way behind the goal.

The ground I’m most looking forward to visiting is the Stadium of Light – no doubt about it!

The best Cambridge social media account is YABA TV on Youtube for monthly goal compilations and player interviews.

Our key player will be whoever replaces Mullin’s 34 goals upfront. It’s nigh- on impossible, but a new signing and our attacking players will need to give it a good go. The fans’ opinion of the gaffer is that they love him! Mark Bonner [ above] is Cambridge through and through and a top- class coach. If he left, he should be replaced by

Zinedine Zidane, who was spotted punting on the River Cam recently. OK, not true but…

We’ll finish 17th. Then we can enjoy stress- free away days against Ipswich, Wigan and Sunderland...

Promotion last term was won deservedly through hard work and clinical play. With Paul Mullin departing, though, Cambridge may not have enough firepower to survive as they and relative rookie Mark Bonner face a first third- tier season since 2001- 02.
