LAST SEASON PREMIERSHIP 8th SCOTTISH CUP Semi- Finals LEAGUE CUP Group Stage TOP SCORER Nicky Clark ( 11)

F A n F I L E STEVEN MURRAY @ stephdufc83 Last season was our first back up since 2015- 16. Staying up was the number one priority, but we were very unlucky to just miss out on the top six in the end. The big talking point among the fans is our manager, Micky Mellon, returning to Tranmere. We’ve hired academy chief Tam Courts [ above] as his successor. This season will be different to last

because we’re established in the league, so our fans expect the top six and some big results.

Our most underrated player is

Adrian Sporle – he’s a tremendous player. He was signed as a full- back but now mostly plays left midfield.

Look out for several youngsters coming through following Courts’ promotion: Declan Glass, Chris Mochrie, Kai Fotheringham, Lewis Neilson, Archie Meekison, Kerr Smith. The player I’d happily drive to

another club is Ian Harkes. A nice bloke, but hasn’t got it for this level.

The opposition player I secretly admire is

Solid and great Hibs’ in Christian the air, Doidge. plus he scores I’d rather against he was us on all my the team. time... so The pantomime villain will be our sporting director, Tony Asghar.

The one change I’d make would

be getting that new sports bar over the road from the ground. It was supposed to be coming, but things have gone quiet on that front. Save the date for all three derby games. Nothing beats winning against your rivals across the street!

The ground I’m most looking forward to visiting is that death trap of a stadium in Aberdeen. And Tynecastle for the atmosphere.

Other clubs’ fans don’t know that we’re world famous! We have a 100 per cent record against the mighty Barcelona: played four, won four. Our key player will be Lawrence Shankland [ below]. Give him the service, and 95 times out of 100 he will stick those chances away. The fans’ opinion of the gaffer is a level 50/ 50 with our new coach, Courts. Will he be a masterstroke? We’ll finish 6th… hopefully higher! 8TH FFT VERDICT

After hiring rookie Tam Courts and demonstrating faith in their homegrown talent, the Terrors are out to disprove the doubters who think they’ll fall flat on their faces. Within Tannadice, there’s real belief in what they’re doing – but the top six looks a stretch.
