F A n F I L E GRAHAM BARNSTAPLE @ grahamb2105 Last season was forgettable. No chance of going to any games, below- par streams making them hard to watch… then the awful football was worse. By the end, we were relieved to escape relegation. The big talking point among the fans is how successful Graham Alexander [ below] will be rebuilding a team in his first full season, with a slew of players having departed. This season will be different to last because we’ll be back in the ground. Apart from that, it will be another hard- fought relegation struggle.

I won’t be happy unless I’ve got the chance to shout at officials for their terrible decisions! Our most underrated player is

Ricki Lamie, who had a difficult start but was a different player when Alexander moved him to centre- half.

Look out for midfielder Dean Cornelius, 20, a Motherwell fan who has come through the ranks and was on the bench all of last season.

The the Well one Society change engaging I’d make with would its be members but need improved better. We’re communication. fan- owned Save the date for

Mirren: with no league October Lanarkshire 27, St derby and a bit of banter between both sets of fans, this will be fun. The ground I’m most looking

forward to visiting is Dens Park – it’s good to have Dundee back.

The best Motherwell social media account is our official one, often the model for clubs in Scotland.

Other clubs’ fans don’t know that we were the only team outside the Old Firm to win the league between the two world wars, when we sealed the title in 1931- 32. Our key player will be Tony Watt [ above]. If he’s in the mood, he’s a fantastic asset for his assists and goals, and is a positive role model. The fans’ opinion of the gaffer is that he’s only been in place since January, but his approach has split supporters already. If things don’t go well early, he’ll be under pressure. If he left, he should be replaced by assistant Keith Lasley. We’ll finish 10th. 6TH FFT VERDICT

Graham Alexander did a good job of steering Motherwell to safety last season, after taking charge of a side in real danger of going down. Loaning keeper Liam Kelly was key, and securing him full- time a shrewd move. There should be improvement.
