I sometimes have anxiety/panic attacks, and the best way for me to deal with them is to consistently check in on how I’m feeling, acknowledging those emotions. That way, I can usually tell if I’m going to have an anxiety attack and can prepare accordingly, by sitting down, finding a quiet space or calling a friend. If I’m having a bad mental health moment, I find peace by drawing or painting; walking my dog; writing shit poetry; and spending time with friends (or just asking them to send me memes if I need time alone). Watching TV shows like Rupaul’s Drag Race and The Office also calms me down.
