Penny modra, writer and editor

Frankie - - REAL LIFE -

I’m a copywriter, a writing teacher and a person who gets very wound up. I think about words all day and they follow me home. Reading is obviously a terrible solution to this! Recently I discovered the lifechanging elixir of physics Youtube. There are literally thousands of videos about galaxy formation and subatomic particles. I watch them every night. I couldn’t explain the standard model of particle physics or the theory of general relativity, but that’s the point: space is confusing. Having to focus so intensely and yet having zero chance of understanding anything is what switches my brain off. Thanks, quarks.
