Filling in the blanks with… imbi the girl

-

Hey there, my name is Imbar A Nassi, but you can call me imbi. I am a 22-year-old non-binary artist currently settled on Gadigal land. I’m primarily a musician, but love to create all kinds of art. I’d describe my music to older folks as a fusion of beat poetry, neo-soul and R&B. My shows are really special. I curate my sets to emphasise an awareness of feelings. I try to get people to create a communal, safe space to feel freely and openly with others in the room. If it sounds like mumbo-jumbo, I encourage you to come along and experience it for yourself. I would highly recommend reconnecting with your authentic self and learning to practise self-discipline. I’m still working on it. When I’m not writing or performing, you’ll find me watching paranormal investigations on Youtube, swimming in the ocean, reading queer fiction, eating sushi, and/or wandering around in nature. My favourite tattoo is my newest one. It’s on my throat, and every time I see it I’m reminded of my dedication to using my voice in order to be my best self, and consequently do the best I can for others.
