LANOLIPS LEMONAID LIP TREATMENT

-

I want to meet the weirdo who looked at a sheep one day and thought, damn, that skin looks moisturising, I’m gonna rub it on my body. (Here’s hoping it was an innocent discovery.) Lanolips is made with lanolin – an oil that comes from wool-growing creatures – and sits in an awkward territory between bland hand cream and kids’ toy. It’s a bit confusing. The ointment, which comes in a bright and poppy tube, is free from a lot of nasty chemicals and boasts of a 99 per cent natural result, but with a dash of shimmer thrown in. It smells like cracking a can of Kirks on a hot afternoon, with an added hint of Butter-menthol – a ‘summer flu’ scent, if you will. It leaves a nice light gloss (there’s that famous shimmer they promised), but a heads-up: it’s best to keep this one out of your mouth, as it will leave a really oily residue, kind of like food-court lemon chicken.
