DVD BOX SETS

I yearn for the days when watching a TV series was an event. We had to wait so patiently for a new episode of Buffy each week, and once the season had passed, anyone with enough cash would buy the box set to binge-watch it all over again. Despite my love of Buffy,

I can’t make it through my old box set, mainly because I no longer have the limber body of a teen that can lie on the couch for hours. My joints, they ache. Also, several discs are missing from the set and others are covered in scratches. I’m not gonna lie: streaming services are a blessing. We may lose nights scrolling for the ‘right’ show, but there’s nothing worse than making it halfway through an episode only to have the disc bug out. Let’s leave box sets where they belong – tucked amongst the Jackie Collins novels in op shops.
