Mas­quer­ade gala for re­hab

AS FRASER Is­land (K’gari) cel­e­brates 26 years of World Her­itage sta­tus, a sym­po­sium will be held to share knowl­edge and en­hance un­der­stand­ing of its unique univer­sal val­ues.

Pre­sented by USC at its Fraser Coast cam­pus on June 7 and 8, the K’gari-Fraser Is­land Sym­po­sium will bring to­gether re­searchers, tra­di­tional own­ers, UNESCO com­mit­tee rep­re­sen­ta­tives and other or­gan­i­sa­tions con­nected with the Is­land.

Tick­ets are still avail­able for the mas­quer­ade black-tie event. In­spir­ing speaker Ash­ley Bot­trell, who com­pleted the pro­gram, will share his story. Guests will en­joy a three­course meal and char­ity auc­tion of items val­ued at more than $20,000 fol­lowed by en­ter­tain­ment by band For­bid­den Road.
