TRANSPERTH customer service assistant Leo Agnello is celebrating 50 years of helping passengers. He started working on the Transperth system in 1968 when the-then WAGR (WA Government Railways) was looking for extra staff to handle Royal Show crowds. In his time at the Public Transport Authority, Leo has worked as a ticketing officer, a ticket examiner, a senior passenger service assistant and in his current position as a customer service assistant. Mr Agnello said he had a real passion for customer service. “Even 50 years on, some passengers come and ask me for advice and I’m more than happy to give them as much help as possible,” he said. He celebrated 50 years at the PTA with a morning tea with colleagues.
