Fe­line the love for a cat cafe

CAT lovers get ready – a new Cat Cafe is com­ing to Fre­man­tle.

The City has given ap­proval for a food busi­ness to op­er­ate as a Cat Cafe at 99A Hamp­ton Road.

The premises will be al­lowed to keep up to 20 cats.

A coun­cil re­port said all cats had to be mi­crochipped and ster­ilised.

“The cat cafe staff man­age­ment have con­firmed that they will each day pro­vide food and wa­ter for the cats, clean their lit­ter trays and move the cats in and our of their night quar­ters to the cat lounge each trad­ing day,” it said.

“To as­sist with hand hy­giene the pro­posed food busi­ness fit-out plans show a hand wash basin lo­cated in the im­me­di­ate vicin­ity of the cat lounge ‘air­lock’ and the san­i­tary fa­cil­ity so hand wash­ing by staff and cus­tomers can oc­cur.

“The din­ing room and the cat lounge are also phys­i­cally sep­a­rated by full height panel glass walls.”
