Hartmann 20
The Hartmann 20 is the latest synth from Alex Hartmann, the influential designer who had a hand in the creation of instruments including the Waldorf Wave, Moog Voyager XL, Studiologic Sledge and Access Virus. It’s currently in production and looks to start shipping very soon, so you may want to start counting your pennies as it will retail for around 20,000 euros and only 40 are due to be made.
First teased last year, the synth is built around Studiologic’s Waldorf-derived Sledge engine and will feature a raw milled-aluminium body and all-black Fatar keybed with aftertouch. A total of 20 black and 20 silver-finished models will roll off the production line – hopefully around the time you get your hands on this magazine. More information on the Hartmann 20 can be found on the 20 Electronics Facebook page.
