You’ve also got some semi-modular synths in your studio such as the MiniBrute and the MS-20. How do they stack up against your Eurorack stuff?

Thijs: “I used the MiniBrute as a MIDI keyboard, basically. It has built-in MIDI-to-CV but it’s two octaves off so you can’t really use it. I like the MiniBrute because it has the arpeggiator on the CV out as well so you can arpeggiate things into the modular which is cool. I have an arpeggiator in the modular rig but the functionality is weird. It’s not polyphonic so you have to select a chord with CV and the order of the chords is really random so that’s one unit I don’t generally use.”
