QUICK TIPS

-

1 Instead of using chorus for adding movement to sounds, reach for the LFO or X-Mod and modulate the PWM of one or both oscillators. Or use a little detune. 2 Use filter resonance to thicken/drive your sound. The OB-6’s filter/resonance doesn’t self-oscillate, so you can push it hard without the sound losing too much bass or breaking up much. 3 Use aftertouch for triggering modulation – you can keep both hands on deck while simultaneously adding movement/expression. 4 The dot in the display tells you what the stored value of the particular knob is that you’re twiddling. Handy if you want to know how your sound is made. 5 To ‘dirty up’ sounds, add some white noise, ring mod or the onboard analogue distortion.
