You have a Roland Juno… Did that get used much on the album?

Merijn: “We’ve had that for quite a while. Harm bought it and it was the first analogue synth we got. For the first half a year or so we didn’t touch it, as I thought the presets sounded too ’80s – I thought it was horrible. But after a while you discover what its power is and what you like about it, and you learn to create sounds that fit your own style. Now, I think, it’s appeared on every track. It’s really one of our favourites. It’s hard because we’ll want to make a second album after this one and we might have to try and not use it because it’s on every track on this album. But it’s hard to imagine working without that one; it really fits our style.”
