QUICK TIPS

-

1

Using Microtuning: who wants the same old scales all the time anyway? Using the Microtuning and User Octaves function can really help inspire new tonal explorations. Break with the norm!

2

For achieving a wider sound, the XD doesn’t have voice panning like the Prologue but your go-tos for a wider sound include the ping/ pong and panning delays, plus stereo chorus too.

3

For extending sequences using the Arp and Favourites: the sequencer/arpeggiator can work simultaneously – record a mono sequence then use the poly (and other) Arp modes to develop your sequence further. Arps record too!

4

With sequencer modulation, you can use the sequencer for melodic content but also for modulating sounds too. Motion-sequence several parameters, then hold notes and let the sequencer transform your sound for you.

5

Sync it! Use the DIN MIDI I/O or the USB/Midi for BPM-syncing the xd’s sequencer to your DAW/ other MIDI gear. Alternatively, use the new CV inputs and sync in/out.
