How to… use motion sequencing and parameter locks

Motion sequencing lets you grab up to four dials/ parameters and record them into the sequencer in real time. You can also lock parameter changes to specific sequencer steps. This is done in Step mode when ‘Motion mode’ is engaged; simply hold a step and turn the parameter/dial you want to lock to the step. It’s great for adding (for example) a reverb blast on a step, or an LFO ratchet effect. To step up your sequences you can also switch Motion on/off on a per-lane basis in the sequencer menu. Experiment with gate time, motion-smoothing, sequence lengths and swing to change the feel/vibe!
