Here we see CRTIV Shumovick placed over a drum beat track. At first listen things are pretty subtle, if you can even tell what’s happening at all. To get an idea of what’s going on, we can whack up the release to extend CRTIV Shumovick’s effect out further in time. The result is almost like triggering white noise over the audio when it gets to a certain level; the effect can add extra ‘breath’ to basslines, and vinyl-style crustiness to transient material.
