Everything is great

2020 has been a weird one, hasn’t it? If you’re anything like me you’re probably sick of talking about it, so let’s skip straight to the positivity – against all the odds, it’s actually been a vintage year for electronic music gear.

As we always do at this time of year, we’ve spent the past few weeks digging through 12 months’ worth of reviews, demos and features to pick out our selection for our Gear Of The Year feature. Looking back, I honestly don’t think I can remember a year in the past decade that’s packed so many great releases. From groundbreaking synths to feature-stuffed DAW updates, there’s too much great stuff to choose from. There are things we’ve had to leave out of this year’s rundown that probably would have been category winners in any other year.

Maybe 2020 has actually been a great year after all? Or maybe the cabin fever is just getting to me. Who knows?
