GLIDE YOUR WAY TO SUCCESS
1
Some instruments let you slide from the pitch of one step to the next. Most often this is a global setting (called portamento, slide or glide) that affects each note. Others allow this per-note. Here we’re using Metropolix and Mutable Instruments Rings.
2
We wanted to define which steps were used. Pressing Edit and Slide shows each of the eight steps as hollow (inactive). Press each step along the bottom to hear the slide/glide. This makes it easy to add interest without being overwhelmed by it.

Metropolis gives great visual feedback, with not only the display showing the slide notes in white but colour coded lights per step. It’s a very intuitive workflow and works as well for performance as it does for writing and recording.
