The mod page offers ten slots of modulation, which is enough for almost any patch, but better still is the variety of the control inputs on offer. The usual suspects are there, like mod wheel and pitch bend but, a fantastic addition for iPad users, you can even choose things like the angle of your Apple Pencil, or each axis of the accelerometer. Being able to move your device around to control pitch bends is a little odd at first but soon becomes a nice extra way of interacting with your music that just can’t be emulated on a desktop machine. When using these kinds of inputs don’t go mad. It’s worth trying to stay consistent but also logical. Think of your device as a games controller. Stick to concepts like Z being closer or further from you and Y being up and down. That way, if you ever collaborate on a project, your project, patches and so on will be easy to understand for everybody.
