< Mirage’s rotating tape delay
Audio Damage describe Mirage as a tape delay, but the tape head is like a rotating head in a VCR. It has the same pitch quantisation settings as Cactus, except this algorithm also includes a setting for the speed that the delay rotates, as well as a setting for how many heads are inside the delay. It clearly represents how many heads are in the delay as well as the speed they spin at, and allows us to create crystalline and harmonic effects, as well as a more classic tape delay effect for lo-fi sound.
Sky Valley granular delay >
Sky Valley is a granular delay with pitchshifting, as well as Grain and Scatter controls. Similar to the granular synthesiser, it creates all sorts of glitchy and repeating sounds and textures through the delay whilst also being able to dial in the clean signal as desired, as well as a Regrain mode option that feeds the grains back into itself, similar to the Regen on the other delay modes. It also has harmonic pitch quantisation options.
