Far from just a separate go-between plugin, Entonal Studio can host plugins itself too. Here’s FM8 in its own floating window. With Entonal, a plugin doesn’t need to load Scala files or have its own special system to work in new tunings; you can freely swap out the synths and their patches without having to work out a new tuning system. Retuning can be done using pitchbend messages or MTS-ESP. You can specify whether Entonal should output MIDI or MPE, too.
