Are my mixes too bassy?

Too much low end can result in dull mixes and rattling speakers! When mixing, balance everything as best you can, then take out the bass and slowly add it back in until you feel it’s at the right level. Also, test the bass level in mono, in the car and on headphones – and don’t be afraid to use high-pass filtering.
