Farewell to Year 6 At the end of the 2015 school year St Benedict’s parish arranged a special Children’s Mass to mark the graduation of our Year Six-ers who were heading off to high school in 2016. Each student was presented with a Youth Bible and a graduation certificate and, after Mass, we celebrated with a delicious brunch/ morning tea. The graduates came from many different primary schools and are now enrolled in a range of high schools, but we wanted each to know that our blessings and best wishes went with them as they started this new stage of their lives. St Benedict’s Christmas Celebrations: Carols by Candlelight were held on Saturday 5th December at the Parish Centre with 19 enthusiastic children acting out the Christmas story. To see what a happy evening it was, you’ll find great pictures on our parish website www.arcadia.dbb.org. au and on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/stbenedictsarcadia. Special thanks to Campion Education and Century 21 for their support for this amazing event. The ‘Spirit of Giving’ Christmas Banquet This Christmas Day celebration, now in its sixth year, carried on its successful tradition with a wonderful evening filled with good food, fine music, robust singing and, especially, good company. This was another way of our parish sharing friendship and reflecting on the true meaning of Christmas. Thanks to all who worked or donated to make it such a wonderful evening.
