Our last meet­ing pro­duced an abun­dance of blueberry food items, facts and colour! Some food items in­cluded Blueberry pizza, sa­vory bread, jelly and tea.

Big congratula­tions to Anne who re­ceived 3rd place in the state fi­nals for her rel­ish. We hope to see many more lo­cal peo­ple en­ter next year. In­for­ma­tion on next year’s com­pe­ti­tion will be an­nounced in the new year. Ev­ery­one is wel­come to en­ter, not just CWA mem­bers.

Our next meet­ing will be on Wed­nes­day June 8th, from 10a.m. for morn­ing tea with a meet­ing to fol­low at 1p.m.

We meet at the Gal­ston Health and Com­mu­nity Cen­tre, cnr Glade and 17 Ar­ca­dia Road, Gal­ston. Vis­i­tors are most wel­come to at­tend.

Coun­try Women’s As­so­ci­a­tion is the largest women’s or­ga­ni­za­tion in Aus­tralia and works for the wel­fare of women, chil­dren and com­mu­ni­ties, es­pe­cially in coun­try areas. Our mem­bers range in age from 30 years to 90+. Ju­nior mem­bers also wel­come. If you are in­ter­ested in join­ing please con­tact the num­bers below.

We are also cur­rently col­lect­ing ring pulls from tins/cans which are then used to cre­ate pros­thetic limbs for chil­dren. if you have some please con­tact Janet or Val, oth­er­wise please bring along to our next meet­ing. Thank you.
