Alpha program starts

The parish began its series of Alpha meetings in May and these will continue through until the first week in July. Meetings, which take place over a shared meal on Monday evenings between 6:30 – 8:30, give participants the opportunity to explore the Christian faith in a friendly environment. Alpha also allows those taking part the chance to think and talk about the big things of life. New Sacramental program

A series of sessions for young people continuing the sacramental program leading to the celebration of First Communion have been held during May. First Communion will take We’ve been doing some counting in the St Benedict’s parish with a census form being distributed at the weekend masses. The aim of having these filled in is to ensure our records are kept up to date as people move in and out of the parish. In May, too, we took part in the Diocesan head count. It’s no mean feat to try and count all those bobbing heads in the church!

St. Benedict's Catholic Church Arcadia; Mass at the Monastery, 121 Arcadia Rd, Arcadia, at 7 am every morning. Mass at the Parish Centre, Corner Fagans Rd and Arcadia Rd 7 pm Saturday, 9 am Sunday.

30th Anniversary - SAVE THE DATES

Planning has begun for the Church’s 30th Anniversary. All those with a connection to GUC or who would like to be involved are invited to save the dates 26-28 October 2018 in their diaries.
