NORTHCONNEX IS OPENING THIS WEEK!

- By Julian Leeser

NorthConnex opening this week! For a generation our community has been calling for a solution to the traffic problems on Pennant Hills Rd.

This $3 billion road will enable people to get around the community and spend less time in traffic and more time with loved ones. Northconnex is a great example of the Federal and State Governments working together with the private sector to deliver a road which is a real game changer for our community.

Planning for the upgrade of New Line Road has now commenced

New Line Road is a major bottleneck in the electorate, causing issues with traffic flows as well as pedestrian safety, and this planning process is the first step to fixing it.

Development of a business case for a future upgrade of the road is now underway.

The business case will investigate upgrading it to a four-lane divided carriageway and replacing the current combination of divided dual and single carriageways.

An upgrade to New Line Road will improve safety, and remove a major frustration for many of us.

Local residents will see technical experts along New Line Road surveying the condition of the existing road and utility infrastructure. The business case is jointly funded with the Australian and NSW governments each committing $10 million.

When this is complete, it will be up to the state government to action the plan. If this is important to you, I encourage you to write to your state member:
