Pr. Alex and Dee Valich - Glenorie Community Church

As you can see from our noticeboard, we have been busy this month updating our website. Many folk who had been watching our services online when our church was closed, asked us to continue this online service when we opened again. So, for the past few weeks we’ve been enjoying our gatherings at church each Sunday as well as recording each service for those who need that option.

Our updated website has:

1. The weekly Sunday service.

2. The history of how God brought us together in Glenorie to our church site.

5. Monthly newsletter, including a message ‘From the pastor’s desk’, our service times and monthly in-house activities.

I’d like to share with you an excerpt from this month’s pastor’s desk...

*Key scripture:

John 1:1 & 14. “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was WITH God and the Word WAS God...and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth.”

C. S. Lewis wrote, “Any serious look at the Gospels affirms that Jesus is Lord and had the right to be believed and obeyed.” As I meditated recently on John chapter 1 and then read C. S. Lewis’ statement, I was struck again with Jesus’ divine nature and the saving work He achieved for us on the Cross. His ministry while He was physically with mankind produced LIFE through a sanctified process. Jesus is God, the Living Word, from the Greek Word ‘logos’- He made possible the existence of our created world. The Bible makes a distinction between the Word of God ‘as it is written down’ and ‘the Word of God

Incarnate’- Jesus Christ in the flesh living on the earth.”

(Pr. Alex continued with three more points then wrote a footnote )

“Footnote: It is vital to remember that, yes, Jesus was a great prophet, a great teacher, a great man - AND- HE IS GOD.” I encourage you to check out our website each month.
