Glenorie Progress Association has been supportive of The Hills Shire Council proposal to increase secondary dwelling size for several years now. From council:

The GPA has strongly supported the increase in size for the following reasons: 1.

It allows parents who want their children to remain on their property to be accommodated for longer, or

Children who want to accommodate their parents on their property to do this adequately. This could apply to other family members.

Local residents can derive an income from their properties either long term or Air BNB style.

An additional dwelling per property has minimal impact on the amenity of our district and may preserve the rural nature by easing the push for further sub-division (if residents are Ĵ²ļõĴţÕÑ Ŗõļñ ļñÕ ŕ²ĆŁÕ ļñÕŘ ²İÕ ÑÕİõŕõčë êİĔČ ļñÕõİ ĭİĔĭÕİļõÕĴ they will be less likely to want to sub-divide).

You may have your own personal reasons to support this initiative, regardless please respond to the council planning proposal.

The GPA would like to thank Hills Councillors Robyn Preston, Dr Peter Gangemi and Brooke Collins for pushing this initiative to this point. 2. 3. 4.
