St Florian’s Day

May 4th is known as St Florian’s Day, a day named after the patron Ĵ²õčļ Ĕê ţİÕţëñļÕİĴ ŖñÕİÕ ŖÕ İÕŤÕËļ Ĕč ļñÕ ĴÕİŕõËÕ Ĕê ËŁİİÕčļ ²čÑ ĭ²Ĵļ ţİÕţëñļÕİĴʣ ƒļ :ĆĔİõ²čʿĴ "²Ř ²Ŗ²İÑ ²ččĔŁčËÕČÕčļĴ Ŗ²Ĵ ² ŕÕİŘ proud day for the Arcadia brigade. We were one of the brigades awarded the Commissioner’s Unit Citation for Service of a ČÕİõļĔİõĔŁĴ č²ļŁİÕ êĔİ ĔŁļĴļ²čÑõčë ²ËļõĔčĴ ËĔčËÕİčõčë ţİÕ ĴÕİŕõËÕ ÑŁļõÕĴ ÑŁİõčë ļñÕ ɿɽɾʆʩɿɽ ŁĴñţİÕ &ČÕİëÕčËõÕĴʣ ĔčëݲļŁĆ²ļõĔčĴ to all involved, and it was only one of the many actions where all Êİõë²ÑÕĴ ËĔčļİõÊŁļÕÑ õč Ŗñ²ļ Ŗ²Ĵ ² ÑõêţËŁĆļ ļõČÕʣ

Arcadia would like to welcome our newest members! Arcadia recently held their AGM and congratulations to Michael and Ryan, who proudly took up their new roles as Deputy Captains. Congratulations to all position holders whose dedicated work will see us move forward for the year ahead.

THIS INCLUDES:

• Making sure household members know the escape plan and

where the exits are,

• Checking electric blankets regularly for damage,

• Keep clothing away from the heater by a minimum of 1 metre,

• Do not overload power boards,

• &čĴŁİõčë ŘĔŁ ñ²ŕÕ Ëñ²čëÕÑ ŘĔŁİ ţİÕ ²Ć²İČ Ê²ļļÕİõÕĴ ²čÑ ñ²ŕÕ tested them. You cannot smell smoke in your sleep ad working smoke alarms save lives.

During these colder months, we also see more pile burns.
