Fruit fly

Set up lures to attract and identify fruit fly, and apply splash baits whenever you see the pests are active. Install physical fly barriers by netting the entire tree or wrapping individual fruit in exclusion bags. Clean up fallen and infested fruit, putting them in a plastic bag to ‘cook’ in the sun. This will kill any grubs that are inside the fruit. Let the chooks roam free in the orchard to pick up pupating fruit flies.
